Hi my name is RJ (short for Rick James). I was born in 1999. I am 16.2 hands (5’ 4”) tall. I am a bay thoroughbred gelding (male). I came all the way to America from Argentina. Boy that’s a long way to travel, but I didn’t mind.

I have been with my mom Gail since 2015. She takes really good care of me (I get really spoiled). Oh, did I tell you I like bananas (peel and all), jello, and fortune cookies and skittles. That’s sorta funny, who heard of horses eating stuff like that. Well I like a lot of different foods.

In the beginning, we used to do a lot of jumping together, however as I’ve gotten older I really can’t do a lot of jumping. That doesn’t stop my mom and I from having fun riding. My previous career was a jumper (that’s really big, big jumps), which I loved.

My new gig is a therapeutic horse at Hope Rising Farm and it’s pretty cool. I enjoy the slower paced life, it suits me just fine. I have been at Hope Rising Farm since 2020 and it’s awesome!! I have a few friends that I like to hang out with. My very best friend is Bello. We play like two silly boys. Captain and Atticus are pretty cool too.
