Hi! My name is Princess Peach, but you can call me Peaches. I was born in 2013. I am a palomino Haflinger Mare (female). I stand 14.3 hands (4’ 11”) tall. I may not be the tallest horse on the farm, but I’m very sporty if I do say so myself. My new family adopted me as a rescue, but who rescued whom, right?
I used to pull a cart and, while I was definitely ridden at some point. I am learning all about leg aids and bending now. My ears tend to move back and forth a lot in the arena, as I’m very attentive and always listening to Jackie and my rider. I’ve been told I’m very smart and an all-around good girl. My favorite song is Peaches from the Super Mario Bros. movie because Princess Peach is whom I was named for! But as it turns out, I’m sweet as a peach as well. I love getting chiropractic adjustments because they make me feel really good..
I came to Hope Rising Farm in November of 2023 because my family takes lessons there and they wanted to be able to ride me in their lessons. Even though my family owns me, they let me be used in the therapeutic riding program for other adults and children. I think I may even enjoy being a dressage horse, which is pretty impressive for a little Austrian pony like myself, but who knows, if I keep learning new moves, you might see me at a dressage show some day, how cool would that be!!
I love being at Hope Rising Farm. In my spare time I get to hang out with my besties Tava and Bubbles out in the field. I’m frequently visited by the resident goats Bubba and Peanut Butter.
