Hi! My name is Bello Domani which means “Beautiful Tomorrow” in Italian, but you can just call me Bello like everyone else. I was born in 2003. I am a Bay Thoroughbred gelding (male) who stands 16.2 hands tall (5’ 6”) of handsome! In my earlier days I had a short racing career but that just wasn’t my thing. I was sent to auction. Luckily, I was saved by the Thoroughbred Rescue Foundation in Saratoga NY where they took great care of me until I could be adopted.
Jackie tells me she saw my ad in the HorseSource and drove up to Saratoga with her horse trailer “just in case”. Well, I guess it was love at first sight, especially after Jackie rode me, so home I went with her. I was 6 years old and I am now at Hope Rising Farm, which is my “Beautiful Tomorrow”. Here, the participants learn how to groom me, put a halter on, Learn how to tack me up, and lead me around in the arena. I have also developed a special relationship with Jackie’s son, Richard, who couldn’t resist me (we are two peas in a pod). I may be retired from riding activities, but I am still a favorite - it must be my personality..
I almost forgot to tell you that I sing for my supper! My Italian name must bring out the operatic tenor in me. Plus, I do a little dance to go with it
