Hi! My name is Tava. I was born in 2003. I am a registered palomino Morgan mare (female). I am 15 (5’) hands tall. I came to Hope Rising Farm in October 2023 severely malnourished and in dire need of dietary support. I was approximately 900 pounds, and I should have been 1,100 pounds. When you see me now, I am a happy, healthy horse. I love being at Hope Rising Farm.

After arriving and having a few months of rest, I was checked out by the Millbrook Equine P.C. The veterinarians prescribed a diet for me to bring my weight back to where I’m supposed to be. My nutritional needs are changing and continue to be met. When you see me now I am the beautiful “Barbie Doll” horse that every little girl wants. I have been slowly getting involved in the therapeutic riding program. This is a new job for me. I’m slowly learning what I need to do in a lesson. I am learning that not everything needs to be done with speed.

I am enjoying my time here at Hope Rising Farm and will continue to grow and learn lots of new things. I have found my forever home.
