Hi! My name is Kevin. I was born in 2011. I am the other tiny horse. Yes that’s right, I’m a horse, standing at a staggering 32” tall. I am a bay gelding (male). I’m a miniature horse or mini for short. I am named after Kevin Hart, the comedian because I am truly a funny guy, but my cuteness puts me over the top. I may be small but my best friend is the biggest horse in the barn. His name is “Fred”. I love playing with him. We run around the paddock and act silly. In the summer I use him as a shade tree because he is so tall I can stand under him.

I found my way to New York when a very nice lady who was traveling from Florida to New York. She rescued me. I was abandoned in a horse trailer on the side of the road with some other horses during Hurricane Irma.

My role in the Therapeutic program is mainly unmounted equine activities. I help people who come to the farm who are afraid of larger horses because nobody can refuse my cuteness. People love to groom me, especially since I'm so calm and gentle and my small steps make it easy for people to learn how to lead a horse. I was very lucky that I was given a fresh start. I am super grateful to have found Hope Rising farm where I have fun with all the adults and children that attend the program her
